US Mobile Casino Game
Mobile casino gambling is doing its best to enter the market in the United States…legally. Nevada has already passed a bill that would allow sports gamblers on the go to place wagers through a well known sportsbook by way of a BlackBerry app as long as they are within the state’s borders.
Now MGM Resorts International may be the next in line to offer online gambling on mobile devices. MGM Resorts Offers its customers the M life program. M life is a loyalty programs that spans MGM’s properties in Detroit, Mississippi, and Nevada. The program is currently a casino rewards club. However, there are plans to make it a resort wide program by the end of the year. This would allow MGM customers to rack up points not just for casino play but for hotel nights and other amenities.
It is the casino companies M life program that will be offering the mobile gaming. MGM Resorts International has paired with International Game Technology to offer one of its most popular slot titles to mobile players. Cleopatra mobile will soon be available as an app from IGT and MGM. The app will be available for iPhone, iPod, and iPad users. To keep it legal, the online mobile slot game will be a non-wagering game, but this has not kept either MGM or IGT from being any less excited over its release. “It’s simply a great game to play and we feel this app will increase brand loyalty to a game widely available throughout MGM Resorts’ properties,” stated IGT’s vice president of Interactive, Alex Kelly.
The casino resort company wanted to extend the casino experience to its customers when they are away from the resorts. “We are always looking for cutting edge experiences for our players and with the new app, we’ll be able to offer our players the opportunity to play one of their favorite slot games while away from the casino floor,” said Senior CP of Marketing and Advertising Sherri Gilligan. MGM and IGT will be the first to offer this type of mobile entertainment to American customers.
